Parallel supports serve as a workpiece clamping aid for axially parallel clamping when milling. On the one hand, they can be used in conjunction with a machine vice to adjust the height of the workpiece in the vice, and on the other hand, they can be used as a base when clamping them directly on the work table. This prevents damage to the machine table when drilling through the workpiece. Even though there are some cheap imitations, unfortunately they don't deliver what they promise.
